THE EDITOR, Sir:
COULD SOMEONE explain to me that Jamaican phenomenon or syndrome: why we have the highest murder rate per capita, and the worst black-on-black killing? Very rarely, this tragedy goes across the colour line. We are most intolerant of our own people, but go overboard to tolerate other races of people. While reading Melville Cooke's article, 'Folly of Forgiveness', I realised that black people are the most tolerant and forgiving of all other races of people.
ATROCITIES
Looking back in history at all the atrocities that the white race has done to black people, from their own non-acceptance of our rightful place in biblical history, through that gory period of man's inhumanity to man 'slavery', 'the middle passage', apartheid in Southern Africa, those years of King Leopold of Belgium and his mayhem in the Congo.
Their transformation of Africa, the gun in one hand, and the Bible in the other, through the Jim Crow period of Uncle Sam, in the name of God, the experiment of monkey and human blood in Africa, thus resulting in the worst destruction of human lives in modern times.
ACTS OF BARBARISM
Their demolition of advanced history from the Incas and Aztecs, to Iraq and the continuous acts of barbarism and race hatred against black people. All we do is pray, and ask God to forgive them.
Talk about turning the other cheek, and not one ounce of retaliation. Black people must be God's chosen people. The original biblical Hebrews were black people. Today, white blue-eyed Jews are by Christians' view, God's chosen people - a myth.
I would recommend every black person to own The Original African Heritage Study Bible.
