THE EAST Kingston communities off the main thoroughfare of Mountain View were on December 26, 2005 given a treat by Mountain View Football Club in association with the Goodridge Lane Citizens Action Group.

Dunstan Baker, president of Mountain View FC, currently playing in the Kingston and St. Andrew (KSAFA) Super League, and who doubles as president of the Goodridge Lane Citizens Action Group, said "this year's treat surpassed all the other years".

ANNUAL TREAT

He said this was the 10th annual Christmas Treat for the elderly and kids and it drew people from as far as Tivoli Gardens and Spanish Town and was well monitored by the police force through the assistance of Inspector Winston Lawrence, Sgt. Lloyd Marshall, Constable Kirk Spence and popular coach, Carlton "Spanner" Dennis of Santos fame.

"It was a good venture bringing back the unity to the area," explained Baker of the communities often affected by crime. "There was bounce-a-bout, people dancing, deejay contest and a lot of food," he further said.
