published: Monday | January 9, 2006

THE ST. Andrew South Homicide Unit is seeking the assistance of the public in identifying the body of a woman which was taken from the sea at the APM Terminal, New Port West, Kingston, yesterday morning.

The dead woman, who is believed to be in her late 20s, is of dark complexion, medium build, about 165 cm (5ft. 5ins.) tall, with blond extensions and two tattoos in the back; one a rose bud and the other a scorpion.

According to the Constabulary Communication Network, about 8:30 a.m., the body was seen at sea by local fishermen. The Marine Police were alerted and the body taken ashore. Close examination of the body by investigators revealed that the woman had been shot.

The body was removed for post-mortem and identification.
