Michelle Rollins, owner of Ritz-Carlton Rose Hall, will tomorrow host a United States Congressional and business delegation and their top aides in Montego Bay.

WESTERN BUREAU:

EIGHT MEMBERS of the Inter-American Economic Council drawn, from the 4th United States Congressional and Business Delegation, and their top aides arrived at the Sangster International Airport yesterday aboard two private jets.

"It is a familiarisation trip for the congressmen who are also a part of the Congressional Caribbean Caucus and their mission is to embrace relations between the United States and Caribbean states," Janet Madden, attaché in charge of community relations in the Jamaican Embassy in Washington, told The Gleaner yesterday.

"They facilitate an ongoing dialogue for Caribbean governments and businesses to discuss pending United States legislation and regulations that impact on the regime," she explained.

Mrs. Madden stated that the delegation will be in the island for five days and will visit Ocho Rios and several attractions in St. Ann today.

Tomorrow, they will meet with Prime Minister P.J. Patterson, Foreign Affairs Minister K.D. Knight, as well as officials of Jamaica Prom-otions Corporation (JAMPRO).

BUSINESS ENVIRONMENT

The congressmen will return to Montego Bay for a dinner reception tomorrow night that will be hosted by businesswoman and socialite, Michelle Rollins.

"There are here to get to know Jamaica and also to get an understanding of our business environment. They make these trips to the Caribbean region from time to time," Mrs. Madden explained.

Accompanying the group is Mrs. Sharon Miller, the Deputy Chief of Mission at the Jamaica Embassy in Washington.
