THE JAMAICA Gasoline Retailers Association, JGRA yesterday said it was satisfied with efforts by its members to comply with the regulations governing the petroleum trade.
Last Thursday, four petrol stations were closed by members of the Island Special Constabulary Force after they failed to produce licences to sell retail petroleum products and alcoholic beverages.
But speaking with The Gleaner following an emergency meeting of members yesterday, JGRA Vice-President Errol Edwards, said 95 per cent of the 200 delinquent members had paid the required fees.
He said some members had already submitted their applications and in a short while all members should be fully compliant with the required regulations.
