THE EDITOR, Sir:
THE PTA of the Cascade Primary and Junior High School has taken this opportunity to write your office, re: inaccessibility to our community due to the total destruction of our roads and the unsatisfactory conditions of the school facilities.
The roads from Buff Bay to our humble community of Cascade, and from Papine to the same community, have been totally cut off from December 2004.
Access to this community is through bridle paths spanning two miles long in some instances. Students and teachers have to journey this tedious path on a daily basis. This is extremely dangerous when it rains.
We are totally fed up with this situation, and we desperately need help.
At the meeting held on January 16, the PTA expressed the community's long-standing disgust and frustrations about the lack of attention given to the community.
Even though the money has been granted and contractors assigned to start the work some eight weeks ago, to date no work has started.
We have now decided that we have no recourse but to take serious actions if no work is begun by Friday, January 27.
Any correspondence or clarification can be forwarded to Mr. Kendrid Lllewellyn at 355-7561.
We are, etc.,
