Progressive, Boundbrook favoured for finals slot
published: Saturday | January 28, 2006

THE SECOND leg semi- finals of the Portland Football Federation Under-15 competition will be played today.

Progressive take a 6-0 lead into their clash against Stony Hill at Boundbrook, while Taurus have a 2-0 advantage against Manchioneal Community Club heading into their contest at Jones Park. Both games begin at 1:00 p.m.

In last Saturday's action at Carder Park, Skeddron Fisher of Progressive FC netted four times in his team's 6-0 beating of Stony Hill.

Khandean Smith and André Samuels scored the other goals.

In the other game, Ajuka Biggs and Terence Wilson scored the winning goals for Taurus.

Virtually certain of making it to the final, Kadeen Shelton, Odean Skeffrey and Khandean Smith will be looking to press home Progressive's advantage against Stony Hill, who will be hoping for a miracle with Tristan Coleman, Jeffery Buckley, Clifton Gowie, and Miguel Gibson.

At Jones Park, the league's leading goalscorer, Wilson, from Taurus Sports Club with 11 goals, will again spearhead his team's attacks in today's second leg semi-final.

He should receive major support from Biggs, Brian Segree, Kadeem McFarlane and Keaveney Burner in a bid to add to their team's 38 goals.

Manchioneal, on the other hand, will be banking on Okeino Kerr, Ronbee Smith, Kesslon Hall, Remore Donegan and Tivel Clarke for better luck.
