VIKINGS AND Venus All-Stars came away winners in last week's volleyball rally played at the G.C. Foster College.
The Vikings men's team came from a set down, 22-25, before winning the next two sets, 25-18 and 16-14, to beat University of the West Indies (UWI).
In the women's final, Venus All-Stars created a major upset by defeating favourites University of the West Indies (UWI) 2-0 (26-24 and 25-23).
This year's league, scheduled to start next Saturday, will be played in the home-and-away format in a best-of-five sets for men and women.
There are two new clubs in the men's league, Titans and Old Harbour United and two in the women's league, Old Harbour and Jamaica Defence Force (JDF).
