TO DEBATE OR NOT TO DEBATE?
published: Monday | February 6, 2006

( L - R ) SIMPSON MILLER, BLYTHE, PHILLIPS, DAVIES AND GOLDING

I would love to hear all five - yes five candidates ultimately vying to lead the country duke it out verbally on the issues that affect Jamaica. Bruce, Portia, Karl, Peter and Omar . We all know that the four from the orange party say they intend to finally start doing what we have been paying them to do these past almost two decades.

WHAT'S THE BIG DEAL?

But does the one from the green party have the fortitude to do what he really wants to do? And 'Eye' would like to know why such a big deal is being made about Portia and the debate? Something is fishy there. I say, send the whole lot of them packing and get 60 inner-city housewives who have to juggle to make ends meet, to run the country; enough already!
