TIP OF THE WEEK - Storing yellow yam
published: Thursday | February 9, 2006

YELLOW YAM is perhaps the Rolls Royce of yams, but when cold, it tends to lose that special taste. To store yellow yam and have it tasting fresh every time, simply peel, cut and store in freezer containers in your refrigerator then thaw and cook when ready.

Also, you can boil the yam, cool it down and store in the freezer, then just heat in the microwave or on the stove when ready to use. When stored in this way, yellow yam can last for months.
