Gordon bowls Tarrant to victory against José Marti

A SIX-wicket bowling performance from fast bowler Clifford Gordon carried Tarrant to a four-wicket victory over José Marti in Grace Shield A League action at Jacisera Park yesterday.

Gordon took six wickets for eight runs to help blow away José Marti for 46.

In reply, Tarrant achieved their target at 47-6. Richard Williams made 15 while Anthony Lee was then pick of the bowlers with 3-16.

At Little KC, Elletson Road, Group C leaders Mona and Holy Trinity played to a draw.

Mona first scored 247 for six declared with Mardio Granstand getting 70, Lenardo Hall 41 not out and Kevin Hamilton 37, while Rohan McLeod claimed 3-55.

Holy Trinity were 125 for seven when bad light stopped play. Shallen Bryan, 29, top- scored for Holy Trinity against Fabian McNab (3-22) and Keron Davis (2-21).

Action in the Premier League continues today with four matches.

St. Catherine host Bridgeport at St. John's Road; Kingston College entertain Penwood at Little KC, Elletson Road; Jamaica College travel to Emmet Park to play St. George's; and, Wolmer's face Norman Manley at Mico Teachers College.
