Too much politics
published: Saturday | February 11, 2006

THE EDITOR, Sir:

MANY OF us in this country are absolutely sick, tired and fed up with this PNP presidential race. It is taking up far too much air time and given too much prominence in the print media.

I for one would be very happy if it were not given one more iota of coverage until February 25 when the inevitable takes place.

At that point it would be fitting for the media to cover the event and tell us the outcome.

The increased tension which is now present among the camps of the four contenders will only add to the general tension across the country. What is the point of covering this 'cass-cass' blow-by-blow? What can the country possibly gain from it? We need to forget about this campaign and get on with the business of running this country properly, because it is fast beginning to look like just another 'lawless third world country'.

I am, etc.,

KMH
