McKayJAMAICA'S BUSTA Fighters will square-off against a United States taekwondo team on February 19 in a featured match at the Battle of the Boardwalk in Atlantic City.
Busta Fighters captain, Jason McKay, said the USA sprung a surprise earlier this week, with very little notice, challenging Jamaica, who for months had sought the showdown.
According to McKay, the USA accepted the match 10 days before the registration cut-off for the tournament.
The USA had declined to compete in the Busta Cup after being invited although present at the Pan-Am Championships in Trinidad and Tobago.
Caught off-guard, Jamaica could be at a disadvantage as they were instead focusing on individual competition and not a team match.
However, McKay, said Jamaica accepted the challenge despite the disadvantages, grabbing the opportunity to compete against a high-calibre team.
BUSTA FIGHTERS

The team will be without Jermaine Lue, one of its new stars, who was not formally registered to compete in Atlantic City.
Jamaica's judges will be Keith Edwards and Peter Lue.
Claude Chin will travel as coach.
