BANGSHOWBIZ.COM:

MORGAN FREEMAN wants to play the Devil.

The actor says he's fed up of playing good guys in his movies and wants to immerse himself in a more sinister character.

Freeman, who played God in 'Bruce Almighty', said: "I have a fantasy, to tell you the truth, that I should play the Devil. If I could interest the right people."

The star added his Satan would be "extraordinarily charming".

Freeman also admits he prefers playing bad guys to heroes.

The Oscar nominated actor said he realised he had a penchant for darker roles after playing the villain opposite Bob Hoskins in 'Unleashed'.

He told Britain's Arts and Books Review magazine: "He confirmed exactly what I was thinking.

"With bad guys you get to let it all out. All those dark places in your psyche? You can let it 'em go."

He added: "When you play good guys, it's kind of boring. It's one note."

"I think I'm a sympathetic person though, even when I play a bad guy."
