T&T: Boldon's father shocked
published: Friday | February 17, 2006

PORT OF SPAIN (Trinidad Express):

DISTRESSED AND some-what shocked is how Guy Boldon feels about his son's United National Congress (UNC) senatorial appointment.

Quick to point out that Ato was neither People's National Movement nor UNC, the elder Boldon said he was unaware of what exactly prompted the four-time Olympic medallist to join the political ranks.

However, he admits to having his own "suspicions" and "extrapolations" about the surprise move, and warns: "I have absolute confidence he is going to be able to take care of himself ... nobody is going to be able to use him and discard him."
