THERE'S A new couple in residence at King's House and what a fine pair they make.

Their Excellencies The Most Hon. Professor Kenneth Hall and his beautiful wife Rhemia Holding, now occupy the Hope Road landmark.

Professor Hall was sworn in as the nation's fifth Governor-General on Wednesday and guests turned out in their finery for the memorable event.

Here are some highlights:

He epitomises the essence of the well-groomed gentleman and she radiates sophistication from head to toe. The shoes are to die for. And yes, you look even more gorgeous without the hat.


Sir Howard Cooke and Lady Cooke prepare to hand over the reins at the swearing in of Professor Kenneth Hall as new Governor-General of Jamaica. Lady Cooke is picture perfect in her champagne and gold ensemble.


Mayor of Kingston Desmond McKenzie puts his best foot forward in pinstripes with champagne accents, and his lovely wife, Marcia, radiates with confidence in her cream pant suit.


Russian Ambassador Igor Lebedev and wife Olga make a striking pair, he in this jacket with embroidered details and she in off-the-shoulder black gown.


British High Commissioner Jeremy Cresswell and companion Barbara Munske. She chooses the reliable elegance of the little black dress.
