Emily witnessed Paul and Meg kissing. Lily happily shared news of her pregnancy with Holden, but refused to act as yet on his and Lucinda's suspicions about Jade. Casey agreed to help Maddie regarding Will and Gwen, but as the couple was about to leave Oakdale, Margo arrested them. Carly and Jack made up, while Nick fantasised about kissing her.

Felicia decided that she did want Nick and Bridget to raise Dominick. However, following a heated discussion with Felicia over the possibility that he was Dominick's father, Dante asked Taylor for help in uncovering the truth. A blood test confirmed Dante's belief, leading Taylor to suspect that Dante was using the child to win back Bridget. Dante pushed Felicia to tell Nick about the test results. Ridge upset Brooke with his intimate Valentine's Day gift and pleaded for another chance with her, but she feared allowing herself to be hurt by him yet again.

John gave Lois truth serum and learned she had been working with Alex to destroy Marlena. Lois met an untimely death before Marlena heard the truth from her. John fell into Alex's trap and was arrested. As the rift widened between Bo and Hope, he bailed out Chelsea and accused Patrick of putting the moves on Hope. A self-destructive Bo resisted Billie's attempt to help him and raced away on his motorcycle. Lucas was furious over Kate's encouragement of Carrie to make peace with Austin. Sami's intended surprise for Austin ended with her in Lucas' arms. Abe's surgery was a success but problems still affected his marriage.

Courtney declared her love for Nikolas which Emily overheard and then underwent an emergency C-section, although the operation could kill her and the baby. Nikolas saved Maxie's life after she suffered a heart attack.

Rejected by Josh, Olivia got comfort from Buzz, which unexpectedly turned into lovemaking. After they agreed never to mention their tryst, Frank asked Buzz to help him win Olivia's heart. After Alan-Michael fabricated a mistake Harley supposedly made at Spaulding, with the intent of kicking her out, she decided to leave but named Dinah as her replacement. Harley further planned to move on by returning to the force as Mallet's partner. Meanwhile, Beth revealed herself to Gus and Alan as their captor.

Gloria burned John's coat, attempting to conceal incriminating evidence, but the lab had already found DNA on it and John was arrested, as was Ashley, who was charged with obstruction of justice. Colleen tried to make J.T. jealous by dancing with Daniel, but it didn't work. J.T. told her she needed to accept that he was with Mac. Meanwhile, Mac got positive results from a home pregnancy test and confided in Kay. Colleen privately vowed to get J.T. back. Lily and Daniel agreed to continue pretending they hated each other, mainly to throw Dru and Neil off the track. Phyllis intended to keep things casual with Nick, unaware that he was falling in love with her.
