Seli Groves, ContributorGeneral Hospital
Come July, the stork will bring a baby daughter to General Hospital's Robin Christopher (Skye) and her husband, Matthew Crane (ex-Matt Cory, Another World). And yes, fans, although GH is being sued by Kari Wuhrer (ex-Reese) for, allegedly firing her when she became pregnant, we're assured that Christopher will not only be staying on the show but that GH's honchos plan to write her pregnancy into her story line.
One Life to Live
Kamar de los Reyes (Antonio, One Life to Live) told TV Guide that Antonio is, of course, hoping that Jessica (Bree Williamson) will be the dominant personality and that her alter, Tess, will recede. But if de los Reyes, the man, were to choose between the two personalities, he'd go for Tess because she's more exciting.
An interesting observation, especially since much of the literature on so-called split personalities notes that the 'alter' often shows traits that the 'original' personality tries to keep submerged.
Hmmmmm. Ever wonder what secrets your alter might betray?
Passions
Galen Gering's (Luis) first airdate on his return to Passions is March 8. We're told to look for some surprises when Luis discovers that Sheridan (McKenzie Westmore), his longtime love, is married.
Which actor or actors formerly on a soap would you like to see back on daytime? Michael Corbett and Thom Bierdz (ex-The Young and the Restless)? Victoria Wyndham (ex-Rachel/Justine, Another World)? Karen Lynn Gorney (ex-Tara, All My Children), etc., etc., etc.? It seems a call went out for actors who hadn't done daytime in a long time to contact a production office. As I write this, there's no further information available.
Joe Lando (ex-Guiding Light, OLTL, Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman) guests on ABC Family's Wildfire on March 8.
Gloria Loring (ex-Liz Chandler, Days of Our Lives) has co-authored a new book with Dr. Timothy Gray called Moving Past the Fear: Living with Type 2 Diabetes. Ever since one of Loring's sons was diagnosed with type 1, or juvenile, diabetes, she's been active in helping to educate parents and youngsters alike on how to deal with the disease. But, as she told me, "We're now seeing a rise in type 2 diabetes in children as well as older adults, and there's a need to help them learn how they can best handle the condition." And maybe even avoid it.
