Holland Police, Tafari Lions set to battle

JOINT SECOND-place teams Holland Police Youth Club and Tafari Lions will clash in tomorrow's feature match of the Wray & Nephew St. Elizabeth Major League at Holland.

Both teams are on 13 points each but Holland, who have played two games more ­ seven to Tafari Lions' five ­ are ahead on goal difference.

Balaclava United and Black River United, both on 10 points, face-off in an interesting mid-table encounter at Balaclava playfield.

In the day's other game, Super Action (10 points) and second-from-bottom New River United (four) play at Mountain Side.

All games are set for 3:30 p.m. Leaders Rasta Camp are idle tomorrow.

Rasta Camp defeated Super Action

In recent results, Rasta Camp defeated Super Action 2-1 to move atop the standing with 15 points from six matches.

In other matches, Epping Forest and Balaclava United played to a 2-2 draw while New River and Holland ended 1-1.

In the parish's Division One, action continues this afternoon with two matches.

Young Brazil face Knockwood Youth Club at Santa Cruz Community Centre while St. Elizabeth Technical (STETHS) take on Mountainside at STETHS. Both matches are set for 3:30 p.m.

In recent matches, joint leaders Rocky Hill United, led by a hat-trick from Cleverton Gowdie, defeated Black River Police Club 4-1 to move to six points while Cataboo United beat Longwood 3-1 on Wednesday.

On Tuesday, STETHS beat Tafari Lions 2-0 and Burton United edged Young Brazil 2-1.
