Wadadah top Montego Bay derby
published: Monday | February 20, 2006

Adrian Frater, News Editor

WESTERN BUREAU:

WADADAH CONTINUED their confident march away from the relegation zone in the 2005-06 Wray & Nephew National Premier League competition yesterday afternoon when a double strike by Rohan Reid gave them a 2-1 win over Seba United in their Montego Bay derby at Jarrett Park.

Wadadah took the lead in the 54th minute when a Seba defender handled the ball and the referee ruled penalty. Reid made no mistake from the spot, making the score 1-0.

Five minutes later Reid was again on target when he pounced on Christopher Cuurie's free-kick and nodded home to make the score 2-0.

Seba for whom Norman Foster missed a penalty in the 26th minute got their consolation goal in the 87th minute when Kemar James' close range grounder whistled past the goalkeeper, struck a defender and flew into the roof of the net.

GOALSHEET

Wadadah 2

Rohan Reid 54th, 59th

Seba 1

Kemar James 87th
