DOCTOR'S ADVICE - My 'kinky' Mexicano
published: Sunday | February 26, 2006

  • Q Doc, I am a successful businesswoman in Kingston. I am in my 30s, and I guess I consider myself to be pretty sophisticated. Also, where men are concerned, I thought I had seen everything. However, something new has come along to surprise me. Or maybe I should say 'somebody' new. I have recently acquired a Mexican boyfriend. He is handsome and pretty impressive. He is a little older than me, and if I say he is 'loaded,' that is something of an understatement.

He wants to marry me, as soon as his Mexican divorce comes through. And I must say that the idea is quite appealing!

However, doc ... in bed, he wants me to do the strangest thing. Please do not be shocked, but during sexual intercourse he wants each of us to put a forefinger (index finger) into each other's bottom.

In actual fact, once I got used to him stimulating me in this way, I found it quite pleasant. But I am still fretting. Does this indicate that he is 'kinky?' And does the fact that he wants me to put me finger in his 'rear' mean that he is secretly homosexual?

The practice you describe is extremely common in some countries, notably the US of A and England. In France, a survey suggested that 40 per cent of young couples do it. It even has a name: 'postillionage.'

But why on earth should people do such a seemingly odd thing? The reason is that it is a medical fact that there are 'erotic' nerves in the bottom, and that it is very easy to stimulate them with the fingertips. This usually creates a pleasant feeling. Also, quite a lot of women use this method to stimulate the man's prostate gland - which is located a couple of inches up the rectum.

Now, I do NOT recommend this 'postillionage' technique to my patients. Why? Simply because of the fact that the rectum is an area of the body that is full of GERMS.

So if you go in for this activity, it is inevitable that you will get germs on the tip of your finger. And it is real easy to transfer these germs to other parts of the body. I have known cases in which a guy puts his finger in the woman's bottom, and then touches her vagina - the result being that she gets a urinary infection.

Of course, there are ways of beating this problem - for instance, washing your hands immediately after giving your partner postillionage. But it remains a slightly risky activity. However, in answer to your final question, I can assure you that if a guy likes this kind of 'bottom play' with ladies, it certainly does NOT mean that he is homosexual.

  • QIs it true that having a large belly tends to shorten your life, doc?

Sadly, this is indeed true. Researchers are now saying that persons' WAIST measurement ought to be no more than half their HEIGHT. If your belly is bigger than that, you should slim down.

  • QI am young teenager, and I cannot understand why my menses come on a different day every month. If they are supposed to be 'monthly,' why do they sometimes come on the 12th, and sometimes on the 14th?

This is a common misunderstanding among young girls. The months of the calendar are of different lengths, so you cannot possibly expect your menses to arrive on the same date of every month. Furthermore, most women's periods are 26 to 28 days apart -; which is considerably shorter than the calendar month.

  • QI see where you have written about women bleeding after sex. Well doc, I am a guy - and I bleed after sex. Why?

The likeliest reason is some kind of little wart inside the pipe that runs through your organ. But you must see a doc for an examination right away.

  • QI have been told I have 'pressure'. But I feel fine, doc! So can I just ignore it?

No! Most people with high blood pressure feel OK. But generally, they need to take pills for the rest of their lives to keep the pressure down. Other good measures include avoiding getting fat, cutting down on salt, and refraining from smoking. Also, do not overindulge in alcohol.

So please, do not ignore your pressure. Take your own doc's advice about reducing it to normal levels.
