Hillel retain swim title

HILLEL ACADEMY retained their title as champions at the Mayberry Investments Prep/Primary Schools swim meet at the National Stadium pool yesterday.

Hillel ended the evening on 378 points in the combined team scores with Wolmer's Prep grabbing second with 316.

Mona High were third with 273, while St. Peter and Paul were fourth with 270 points. Stella Maris rounded out the top five with 145 points.

In the boys' category, Hillel also topped the tables with 250 points, while Wolmer's were second with 202. St. Peter and Paul were third.

RULING THE ROOST

In the girls' category, it was Mona who ruled the roost with 172 points to St. Peter and Paul's 130. Hillel were third, amassing 128 points.

Excelsior grabbed the Primary Schools title again with 66 points, clipping Naggo Head Primary (54). St. Richards Primary ended third with 39 points while Holy Rosary (32) tagged fifth place.

In the 11-12 boys, Wolmer's Prep were the top school, accumulating 111 points, while Stella Maris ended with 64 to top the girls, 11-12.

TOPS

In the 9-10 boys, Hillel were tops, just as they were in the 7-8, and 6 and under boys, along with the 6 and under girls age group.

The 9-10 girls age group went to Mona, while St. Peter and Paul won the girls 7-8 title. In the boys 10-12 200 metre Individual Medley, St. Peter and Paul's Dominic Powell set a record of 3:18.93 seconds smashing the old mark of 3:43.49 seconds.

In the boys 12 and under 11 metre freestyle, Powell's teammate, Shaun James, shaved six tenths of a second off the old record to set the bar at 1:14.98 seconds.
