LETTER OF THE DAY - For service to a new Jamaica
THE EDITOR, Sir: I USE this medium to congratulate the Hon. Portia Simpson Miller, on being selected the first female president of the People's National Party. She will go on to become the first female Prime Minister of Jamaica in a short time.

PM should publish his memoirs
THE EDITOR, Sir: I REALISE that we are not a people given to much 'book writing' by our leaders, especially of memoirs. I wish that the Prime Minister would break that tradition and publish his memoirs.
