Setting the record straight
published: Monday | February 27, 2006

THE EDITOR, Sir:

I READ with interest a report on page D9 of Friday's Gleaner dated February 3.

The article contributed by Christoph Muellerleile out of Germany and captioned 'Priest's Legacy in Seaford Town' suggests that Seaford Town is in the parish of St. Thomas. As a matter of fact, it was stated twice in the report as Seaford Town, St. Thomas.

I wish to make the correction that Seaford Town is in the parish of Westmoreland and should not be confused with Seaforth in St. Thomas.

We regret the passing of Father Francis Friesen, and hope that the work he started in Seaford Town, Westmoreland, is being continued.

I am, etc.,

LUCILLE

SOMERS-HIGGINS

St. Thomas
