BARBADOS: Arthur puts Barbados in election mode

BRIDGETOWN, BARBADOS (CMC):

WITH OVER TWO YEARS TO GO before general elections are constitutionally due, Prime Minister Owen Arthur Sunday night put his ruling Barbados Labour Party (BLP) and the country in election mode.

A fired-up Arthur warned opponents that his administration, which is just past the mid-term point in its third successive term, was prepared to go to the mat with anyone who wanted a fight and would not "roll over and play dead" while persons pursued a charter for change, "just for the sake of change".
