Few glitches in visiting Jamaica

THE EDITOR, Sir:
MY FAMILY and I have been frequent visitors to Jamaica for almost 30 years. In the first five to seven years, I visited almost every major resort area and finally settled into the idea that Negril would be 'my new island home'. A few years ago my wife and I decided to 'relocate' to Treasure Beach.
Why does the cambio at the airport exchange United States dollars at a lesser rate then other local banks? Exchange rates at the airport should be the best possible rate as (I assume) you wish for those visitors to begin the JA experience on a positive note.
One more thing ... airport looks good, but still functions as it has for almost 30 years - long lines with limited instructions for the occasional visitor; families with small children and elderly cannot stand in lines for over two hours! I assume you want that visitor to depart beautiful Jamaica with a positive image. First and last impressions are the most important. Other than that, it's difficult not to enjoy Jamaica.
I am, etc.,
