TRINIDAD: Passengers still stranded in Trinidad
published: Friday | March 3, 2006

PORT OF SPAIN, TRINIDAD (CMC):

YESTERDAY morning, LIAT (1974) Ltd. continued to deal with a chaotic situation at the Piarco International Airport, where scores of visitors who were in Trinidad for two days of carnival celebrations, were stranded since Wednesday morning.

Passengers have been in an angry mood since the airline's flights were cancelled due to the fact that pilots took industrial action to press claims for outstanding pension payments and other allowances. The pilots have since resumed their duties.
