Lack of diplomacy
published: Saturday | March 4, 2006

Mai'khi C'Nia

AND IT came to pass that as the day of the comrade delegates drew nigh, Jamdown was treated to a display of eye-popping subclass posturing, courtesy of the cowboy. Yea, such was Mr. GQ's vulgar rhetoric, that Jamdowners far and wide were outraged, and Ras Pete paid the ultimate price for an ill-advised association.

Now the cowboy is a man of suave appearance, who is prone to a little machismo, but lacks charisma. Dearly beloved, thou can put the man in class, but thou wilt never be able to put class in the man. Verily I say to ye, the dark Knight presides over portfolio responsibility for foreign affairs in the current comrade administration, and such a post demands an acute sense of diplomacy. Alas, this senior cabinet minister appear to possess no diplomacy.

Behold, the nurse hath steamrolled the trio of doctors. Yea, the rose hath blossomed in all her B.A. glory and the Ph.D thorns on the stem hath been overshadowed. And now that history hath been written and the slaying hath been completed, the time is at hand for healing, and forgiving, and such... Verily, Peto daresay there art some nervous comrades about. For though 'Sista P' insist that 'tis but one Jamdown from henceforth, some art neither worthy of her compassion or of being in critical leadership positions of this fragile society .

Dearly beloved, the cowboy hath declared that he is a party man thus unto the party he should be returned, to do unto the party that which he would do unto the rest of us. May his current predicament tutor him civil comportment, for after decades of being in the shadow of the Fresh Prince, nothing in the form of good-nature nor simple respect hath rubbed-off on him. Verily I say to ye, Jamdowners can do without that sort of mal-influence in their national consciousness this day.

Hear oh Jamdown, observe these things and acknowledge that every individual hath within, a built-in ability to achieve all things to which he assign his aspirations, and that thou need possess only a firm belief in thyself and guidance out of Zion. Let no man belittle thee along the way, and be thou not offensive or abrasive in thy own conduct towards those thou encounter.

Instead, know ye that none shall stand before thee. For thou, through rightousness, hath power to trod on serpents and scorpions, and nothing shall by any means injure thee. Neither doth thou require a Ph.D to excell, for thou art equipped with a mouth and wisdom which thy adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist. Selah.
