A strange rake
published: Saturday | March 4, 2006

Jah Foresight, Contributor

MARCH IS now sitting in our backyard and the New Year has made a quarter step. Christmas will be coming soon just like Valentine's Day. What ah prekkeh in Jamaica sah! Jamaica will have a new Prime Minister soon and she is a lady. Congrats Mama P for a good battle, especially when some contestants are faced with the rock as a hard and cold place.

Nobody seems to remember the second place horse nowadays in the rat race. I find it strange that most of the white rum posse find it strange with a female ruler. Portia comes to really crush some ego, stating that woman run things. The lady is the sweetest rake of all.

The world is still in turmoil. My heart bleeds for the mass murder in St. Thomas and I truly understand the sentiments of the crowd. Flood and more flood in St. Mary and St. Ann and it is only God can stop nature from acting up. Twenty-one birds found dead of unknown cause in the Bahamas and I am wondering if it is caused by AIDS.

The West Indies team has been battered in New Zealand without any miracle rising from under the covers. Cable providers may benefit from advertisements at last. Brokeback Mountain bringing masculine romance to Jamaican screen and Jamaicans will be hawking up the DVD soon as hypocrites.

I had the strangest of rakes. Read my story. I was walking with my little daughter on Ash Wednesday. I was teaching her about bees and the process involved with extracting nectar from 'Spanish Needle' and converting it to honey.

FASCINATED

She was fascinated by the talk and actually observing the bees doing their work. Later in the night, my uncle asked me to carry him to a domino session. In the midst of the game, a bee landed on his shoulder and I brushed him off. It seems as if this little fellow was angry and he circled and then landed on my neck.

I brushed him and the creature stung me on my right middle finger. I had to ask the question, why that finger? It was so weird. The last time I was stung by a bee I was a small child. People at the session told me that I am going to make or get some money. You should see how I was walking around picking up 'bottle stoppers' to try and win something. I ended up losing a cheque that was owed to me! What a bizarre situation.

Let us now start to look at the different draw numbers since 2006. The most popular numbers so far are 2, 10, 11, 21 and 37 came five times.

This is followed by 3, 8, 12 and 18 that came four times and 13, 16 and 36 rolled thrice. The big headache is the large amount of numbers that came twice and these were 1, 4, 5, 7, 15, 17, 20, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, 34 and 35. You will notice that the high numbers come infrequently and this is where the trick lies. Between 21 and 26 all these numbers roll less than three times. The least popular numbers are 9, 19, 14, 28 and 22.

Keep your eyes on these five numbers, especially if you feel that the jackpot will climb. I feel that you have to be creative in mixing the popular numbers with predicting when an unpopular number is going to pop up in the draw.

KEEP ON BUYING

Personally, I do not see the jackpot going over $20 million for now. This means that you should just keep on buying and buying.

Let us now look at the last set of draws. On Saturday, February 25, the numbers were 6 (iron, stone, lion); 10 (small house, small car, kitchen); 23 (blackman,animals,monkey);34(baby, chicken, riot); 35 (goat, oven, shopping); 37 (microwave, computer, razor) and the bonus ball of 2. There were the consecutive numbers of 34 and 35 and the repeated number of 37 from the previous draw.

The results for Tuesday, February 28 were: 1 (duppy, ice, bench, grey hair); 8 (belly, red cow, fat woman); 11 (dog, boy, leg, banana, bamboo); 20 (white hair, naked woman, bread); 23 (animals, monkey); 27 (big fire, mad person, bullet, fire, flood) and the bonus number of 31. There were no repeated or consecutive numbers but this was when three numbers 20, 23 and 27 came into the mix.

The jackpot of $13 million disappeared last Tuesday night. This was indeed Lucky Tuesday for one lucky person. The jackpot is now at $7 million. Do not hitch and when you go to buy your tickets, remember the lady.
