Nothing has changed
published: Monday | March 6, 2006

THE EDITOR, Sir:

THE GLEANER front page headlines of Monday, February 27 stated that 'Portia Bats Carefully' and 'Five murdered in St. Thomas'.

This said it all and should have sobered all that belief that Portia offers Jamaica anything other than more of the same tired People's National Party (PNP) policies.

Sadly, while the supporters of the Prime Minister-designate Portia Simpson Miller were celebrating her victory, Jamaica continued on the declining path that her party has put us on.

Nothing changed on February 25 with the election of Portia Simpson Miller as the new president of the PNP, because a change in the PNP leader has still left Jamaica with the PNP in government.

I am, etc.,
