THE EDITOR, Sir:
IN RESPONSE to the open letter of March 3, I have as much concern as the writer about the portraits that are suddenly being inscribed across several communities in Spanish Town. I wonder if someone is sending a message.
When last I was in De La Vega City on February 25, accom-panying delegates to the special party conference, all signs were normal welcome notes. There were no pictures in the community then. One is forced to question, isn't it strange that after this historic occasion when the majority of South Central delegates, who are from this division, voted for Dr. Peter Phillips, that on his loss this campaign seems to have started?
As MP support for the development of this community is too numerous to mention and would be self-serving to enumerate. I would direct the writer to the leadership of the following: all the churches and the basic schools, the citizens association and neighbourhood watch, netball, football, basket-ball and cricket clubs alongside the women's movement and youth groupings in the community.
Should the writer need to find me on any other troubling matter, please call me directly at 754-1411 on cell at 384-7121. Peace and love.
I am, etc.,
