Crime on the rock
published: Saturday | March 11, 2006

Mai'khi C'Nia

AND IT came to pass in the week that was, that creation celebrated both peace and the fairer sex, and these things art of major significance to thee oh Jamdown, for the integrity and viability of thy future as a nation hinge on them.

Amidst much analysis of Jamdown's notoriety as a homicidal society, much blame is ascribed to Ras Pete and the administration. Hear oh scholars and pundits, for true responsibility lies at the feet of the people. Be ye not disingenuous, but shew unto them the error of their ways, that they may seek to adjust their prerogative, that the cup may pass away from them.

For if thou art perpetually sold on the notion that the rock is crime-ridden, then thou art blinkered, and art not true to the facts. For the real situation is that vice is on a gentle downward curve across the land, but violent crime remains the mainstay of the heinous intensity of Jamdown's unlawful conduct.

GUN CULTURE

Behold, gun culture features prominently amongst Jamdown's adolescents, and possession of an illegal firearm, and using it to its lethal capability, is as normal as owning footwear to a wide cross section of the youth. Verily, I say to ye, thou can fault 'ticians for whetting this nation's appetite for guns, but the existing proliferation of firepower on the rock hath outstripped political correlation many moons ago.

Dearly beloved, 'tis not just gunhawks and shotters who art culpable as far as bloodletting in the land is concerned. For domestic disputes abound and many Jamdowners art uninitiated in the method of conciliatory resolution to their contentious issues.

JAMDOWN WOMEN

The healthy bit of Jamdown society that remains is anchored on the strength and character of Jamdown women. Verily I say to ye, 'tis they who art truly the salt of creation, and respect for them knows no bounds. Yea, their ability in financial and monetary management is legendary, and their juggling prowess is phenomenal, for they attend to their vocational, personal, and family functions with equal verve, and art able to throw in a little extra-curricular activities at the synogogue, or the local PTA for good measure.

Yea, if the premier-designate in her wisdom assign Omar, keeper of the threadbag, to different portfolio responsibilities, she would be astute in filling his boots with someone of the fairer sex, for such a person would likely prove to be e'en more resolute than he, and would undoubtedly be easier on the eyes. Verily, I Peto enthusiastically
proffer that the daughter of Morrison be considered for the job, for that youthful senator is not only a knockout, but she also possesses a reputation of being as erudite as she is attractive.

Hear oh Jamdown, for a glass ceiling still exists atop the society, and many a Jamdown lass is the victim of the boys club mentality this day. Take ye the opportunity now to adjust these outdated practices, for 'tis no secret that Jamdown girls art preparing themselves more vigorously than their male counterparts to be efficient in the future
