Runners-up were Retreat who pocketed $30,000. Myron Wilson of Retreat took the award for most runs scored, 307, and $7,500.

He also received the cash award for Man of the Series after scoring 307 runs and taking 10 wickets. He took home $10,000.

Other awards given out at the function included best sportsmanship to former national representative Cleveland Davidson who received a cash award of $10,000; best scorer went to Leslie 'Bussu' Campbell; best groundsman went to Donovan Forrester, while the most outstanding manager was Sydney Fray of the Frome team.

A special appreciation trophy was given to the SCJ from the Westmoreland Cricket Association (WCA) for its continued sponsorship of the competition.

President and chief executive officer of the SCJ, Livingstone Morrison, has committed his company's sponsorship for the long haul and applauded the WCA for its excellent handling of the competition.

Cleveland 'Danny' Keddo, president of the WCA said teams would be wearing coloured clothing next season as a new sponsor had come on board with the promise of footing 60 per cent of the bill.
