THE EDITOR, Sir:
THIS IS a reply to Rev. Devon Dick re his column 'Portia, Phinn and Prophecy'.
Firstly, let me say thanks to you, Rev. Dick, for your kind sentiments re: my boldness, etc.
Whilst the press chooses to highlight the prophecy about the Honourable Portia Simpson Miller, it must be noted that the Jamaica Observer did carry an article on April 3, 2005 - news section - entitled 'Golding's leadership of JLP was foretold by the prophets'. The Love Herald, dated Monday, June 20, 2005 also carried - over 30 prophecies - many of which have already been fulfilled.
I can recall when I had my first spiritual encounter with the Lord Jesus at the age of 12 in a classroom at Gordon Town All-Age School - shortly thereafter, my first prophetic vision occurred.
I saw my name printed on a notice board at the school Roll of Honour and immediately after my name were the letters - STATHS. ie. St. Andrew Technical High School. Two years later I got a Government scholarship to the said school.
My prophetic ministry developed through the charismatic renewal movement in the '70s and '80s.
Since then I have delivered thousands of prophecies to individuals, churches, cities, politicians and nations.
For those who don't believe in prophecy, and continue to scorn this gift of the Holy Spirit, I can only say that they are 36 years late in trying to tell me that this gift is not for today.
This particular prophecy - re the Hon. Portia Simpson Miller was declared by over 15 prophets and prophetesses, both locally and overseas, Such as, Dr. Leslie Rogers, (Trinidad), Rev. Earl Stanly (Texas), Bishop Hatchet (Florida), Rev. Carl Christian (Ja.),
Rev. Patrick Williams (Ja.), Minister Mark McLean (Ja.), Minister Mark Buchanan, Minister Sharon Anderson, Michell Silveria, Prophet Karl Simpson and other believers.
Finally, you asked if I have any other prophetic word for Jamaica I have over nine pages and a sample was sent to Mr. Dawes for his column - Mind and Spirit.
I am, etc.,
Dr. PHILLIP PHINN
