1. Why did you decide to enter the competition?
I decided to enter because it is something that I have always wanted to do, from I was a child coming up. I also did it to boost my self-esteem and enhance my feminine qualities. With my witty personality, I have a great chance of representing Jamaica, both locally and internationally.
2. What is your definition of a beauty queen?
It is someone who is able to display herself in a particular manner and people are able to look up to her as a role model. She is able to make decisions on her own and do whatever she can to make others, including herself, feel comfortable with themselves.
3. What do you expect to achieve by entering the competition?
Well the exposure is already here. Whether I, on the night, walk away with the crown or not, there have been quite a few life changing experiences for me. I have met 21 other girls and I expect to move further from here.
4. What is your best asset?
My smile.
5. How would you sell Jamaica to a foreigner in light of the high crime rate?
Despite our high crime rate, we are lovely, loving persons. We have a lot to offer and everything about us is good. Should they come here, they would have a different view of our country and see that we are fun-loving persons.
6. What do you love the most about Jamaica?
I love our beaches.
7. If you could meet one person, who would it be and why?
It would be Louise Bennett-Coverly. I am an actress as well, so she has played an active role in developing my skills as well. She is the epitome of a phenomenal woman.
8. If you win, what sector of the society would you work with?
I am very passionate about working with inner-city youth. For far too long they have been neglected and in most cases that's where you find the crime escalating. I think I would have a very good impact working with inner-city youth.
9. If you were the Prime Minister, what changes would you make and how?
I would want to make changes in our justice system - our policies need some adjusting.
10. What do you hope to achieve in five years?
I see myself as a very successful business woman. I want to become a chartered underwriter. That is someone who does insurance premiums.
