Models on the verge
published: Wednesday | March 15, 2006

Robyn Salm

NAME: Robyn Salm

Height: 6'1"

Weight: 142 lbs.

Occupation: Student

Location: Kingston

Competitions entered: I entered the CVM Faces of Summer in 2005 and placed in the top five. That was really hectic because it was my first competition and I had to be watching what everyone was doing. I was really nervous, but the more shows you do, the more you get used to it. I also entered the Fashion Face of the Caribbean where I placed in the top four.

Campaigns: No, I have not been in any so far. I am waiting to try my luck overseas.

Commercials: I have been in one for Charlie's Chocolates, Ocean Spray and Grace (Foods).

Shows: I have mainly done hair shows for Soft Sheen Carson Jamaica. I also modelled in Style Week Jamaica.

Magazines: I have appeared in V magazine. I am very proud of that because Saint is the first Jamaican agency to appear in it.

Market best suited for: I love the high fashion market, but I can do both fashion and commercial.

Best asset: I do think that my hair gets me far. Apart from that, I would say my best asset is probably my personality.

Campaign wish list: Gucci would be a lovely one; Puma as well. For small campaigns, I would like Dolce and Gabanna and some cologne campaigns like Tommy Hilfiger.

Two years from now: I see myself overseas at Elite in Milan. I am supposed to be going there in June. But I also see myself going to places like Europe and Asia. I see myself pushing probably higher than everyone else.
