Club leagues in full swing

WHILE THE Sunshine Girlz hack away at grabbing a medal at the Commonwealth Games in Melbourne, Australia, local netball at the Leila Robinson Courts is in full swing today.

Action begins at 1:30 p.m. in the Western Union Division 'B' competition.

At that time Speg 'A' take on Ravens 'C', while Police 'B' go up against Jetsetters 'C', and Friendship try to get a win from their game against Torrington Park 'B'.

At 2:45 p.m., the competition continues with the Jamaica Defence Force (JDF) matching skills with Skibo 'A', Jetsetters 'B' trying to get one over on Waulgrovians 'B'.

Fifteen minutes earlier, New Kingston Raiders 'A' and De La Vega 'A' trade goals, while Hampshire 'C' tip off against Whitehorses Upliftment.

The Supreme Ventures Division 'C' takes centre stage at 4:00 p.m.

The first game of that division will feature Ebony Strikers 'B' against G.C. Foster Strikers, while Greenwich 'A' battle with Hagley Park, Up Park Camp play De La Vega 'B', and Hampshire 'B' face Alpha 'B'.

Division 'C' games continue at 5:00 with New Kingston Raiders 'B' being the first to face the music when they tackle Duhaney Strikers, University of the West Indies (UWI) Revolution play Molynes 'B', Police 'B' have a game against Progressive Strikers and Skibo 'B' try to stop the advance of Greenwich 'B'.

The Supreme Ventures Division 'A' League comes to the fore at 6:00 with Springfield having some work to do against Ebony Strikers 'A', Omega playing the ever-improving Ocho Rios Magics, Ravens 'A' having a duel with Blades United, and Maverley vs Red Challenge.

At 7:15 p.m., Molynes United 'A' go up against Braeton and Alexander Strikers have to deal with Hampshire 'A'.
