MELBOURNE'S YANICK Elliott and Lucas' Ashuman Kentish were in fine form, while defending champions Manchester and Kingston Tigers secured first innings points on yesterday's opening day of the fourth round Supreme Ventures Super Cup cricket competition.
At Folly Oval: Kerry Scott bowled Kingston to first innings points over Portland.
Scott took 4-11 to help dismiss Portland for 160, to which Kingston, in reply, closed on 167 for one. Simon Jackson is on 78 while Duran White was dismissed in the final over of the day for 78.

At Nelson Oval: Kentish was in top form but his 7-56 was in vain as Lucas dropped first innings points against Manchester.
Orville Pennant, 63, led Manchester to 190 and then Andre Dwyer, 3-25, and Donovan Sinclair, 3-29, combined to bowl out Lucas for 119.
Manchester are 22 for one, batting a second time.
At Up Park Camp: Former Jamaica Under-19 batsman Elliott scored an impressive century but his team, Melbourne, was locked in a keen tussle with Jamaica Defence Force (JDF) for first innings honours.
Elliott struck 18 fours and four sixes from 177 balls in his 134, which propelled Melbourne to 288. Donovan Pagon chipped in with 69 against Kamal Dennis who took 4-79 and Kacey Saunders, 2-11.
JDF closed the day on 95 without loss. Melvin Wallace, 44, and Mel Wint, 40, will resume when play begins today at 10:00.
ST. CATHERINE CC ON TOP
At Chedwin Park: St. Catherine CC were well on their way to first innings points over St. Elizabeth.
Replying to St. Elizabeth's 181 in which Gavin Wallace took 4-22 and Odean Brown 3-66, St. Catherine will resume on 120 for two. Danza Hyatt made 63 while Damion Bryce will resume on 40.
At St Mary Sports Club: Westmoreland will resume on six without loss chasing 291 for nine declared made by St. Mary.
Dervin Morant, 73, and Keno Campbell, 54, top scored for the hosts.
