THREE PEOPLE were killed in separate traffic accidents on the weekend.

According to the Constabulary Communication Network (CCN), 36-year-old Keishan Edwards was killed while driving a Toyota Mark II motor car along Burke Road in Spanish Town about 3 a.m. yesterday.

The police say on reaching a bridge he lost control of the vehicle which crashed into the concrete rails and burst into flames.

It is reported that Edwards was flung from the car and died on the spot.

Damion Allen, who was a passenger in the car, was injured and later admitted in the Spanish Hospital.

In another incident Gregory Williams of Hillside district, Trelawny, died in the May Pen Hospital Saturday night from injuries he sustained when he was hit by a motor vehicle on the Bustamante Highway in Clarendon.

The CCN reported that about 8:10 p.m., Mr. Williams stopped on the highway to put gasolene in his motor truck and was hit by a motor vehicle which did not stop.

In the third incident, an 11-year-old girl was killed after she was hit by a motor car at the intersection of Waltham Park and Crescent roads, St. Andrew, on Saturday.

The CCN reported that Drecille Stanley was walking along the roadway when she was hit by a white motor car. The car reportedly did not stop.
