Jamaican-owned businesses overseas
published: Wednesday | March 29, 2006

THE EDITOR, Sir:

WE ARE the proud owners of a Jamaican restaurant in Georgia, about 20 miles from the city of Atlanta and we have the support of many Americans who love everything Jamaican. We try to educate them about our beloved country and many have visited Jamaica based on the information we gave them.

Why doesn't the Jamaica Tourist Board (JTB) target small and big businesses owned by Jamaicans in foreign countries to send business their way? I know my country's history, but I am sure there are ways in which the JTB can send us information and ways to promote our country so we can send more visitors their way.

To the Jamaica Tourist Board, I am just saying 'every mickle mek a muckle'; help us to help you.

I am, etc.,
