published: Thursday | March 30, 2006

The favourite staple in the Indian diet roti was at every turn at the Roti Festival held at Club India on Lady Musgrave Road, St. Andrew, last Sunday. Roti goes well with almost everything. Here it is served with rice, curried goat and curried mango. - PHOTOS BY JUNIOR DOWIE/STAFF PHOTOGRAPHER

THE SECOND annual Roti Festival held at Club India, 38 Lady Musgrave Road, was an Indian national's paradise. In fact, it was a great occasion for anyone who wanted some good food and a relaxing time out of the ordinary. Whether you were Indian or just loved the food, you would have no complaint.

All the foods synonymous with Indian cuisine and culture were showcased. Dahl, curried goat and curried mango were just a few.

The day wasn't all about food as there was a variety of activities especially for the children. There was rock climbing, bounceabout, toy trains, animated balloons, craft and clothing items on sale.
