THE EDITOR, Sir:
LET ME use this medium to join with the many Jamaicans who are wishing the best for our new Prime Minister, Mrs. Portia Simpson Miller.
I must congratulate her for allowing the Lord to lead and direct her. I trust that as she grows more into her new job she will be closer drawn to her supreme leader.
I also wish to tell her that her name is really of great significance as it connotes the 'Portia' in the Shakesparean play 'The Merchant of Venice'.
We read how that Portia was able to handle Shylock. Madam, there are many Shylocks that you will have to deal with, but with God's divine guidance you will be victorious. Congratulations!
