A new era has dawned

THE EDITOR, Sir:
I SEE this change (Mrs. Simpson Miller to Madam Prime Minister) for Jamaica as a significant one that will have an enormous impact on the further development of the country; an impact that will enable people to grow together and move away from the segregation of hate and selfishness. The sincerity of Portia should allow the rebirth of all Jamaicans to seek salute in their traditional fundamental views around Christianity, and how important it is for families to go to church and socialise their children to do likewise.
I strongly believe that this new history for Jamaica is exciting and all Jamaicans of all levels of development should embrace and see this as a way, making our country a better place to be envied and live in. Therefore, we need to accept that this is a new era when we do not need gunmen, bad men, murderers (not that we ever did) to try and stain the clean linen we have acquired by God himself.
I embrace this change as my welcome back to Jamaica to live after years being abroad. I love Madam Prime Minister.
I am, etc.,
