TIVOLI GARDENS thrashed Seba United 7-2 at the Edward Seaga Stadium in West Kingston last night.
For the first 20 minutes the game was close, with chances at both ends. Christopher Nicholas opened the scoring for Tivoli in the 11th minute with a neat chip from close range, but four minutes later Seba equalised through Kemar James.
WONDERFUL STRIKES
However, Tivoli went on to score five goals without reply either side of halftime, including wonderful strikes from Fabian Davis and Steve Green.
Seba made three substitutions with about 20 minutes to go and were rewarded when good play from Ricardo Geddes forced Kasai Hinds into conceding an own goal in the 78th minute.
But Craig Stewart scored his second and Tivoli's seventh in the 84th minute when a Seba defender's clearance rebounded off his chest and into the net to finish off a bad night for Seba.
Tivoli coach Glendon 'Admiral' Bailey said after the game: "All season we have created chances but we haven't put them away. Today we created a lot of chances and we scored a lot of goals."
Seba United coach Theodore Whitmore said: "We tried out some new players today who haven't played yet this season ... credit to Tivoli, they played well."
