THE EDITOR, Sir:
RECENTLY MY wife had surgery at the Black River Hospital. The mini operating theatre is of international standard. It exceeded our expectations. We would like to thank the chief executive officer, Mr. Alwyn Miller, medical officer Dr. John McRae, Dr. Adeniyi Bamidele and other doctors, Matron Hyacinth Bromley and the entire staff of the hospital for making her stay so pleasant. You all made her recuperation so much easier.
We look forward to the main operating theatre being opened for world-class service and care for the people of St. Elizabeth and neighbouring parishes of Westmoreland, Manchester and St. James.
Keep up the good work, doctors, nurses and all staff members. Thank you, Southern Regional Health Authority. Thank you to the outgoing Minister of Health, Honourable John Junor. You have served this ministry well. We wish you all the best for your future endeavours.
Thank you to the member of Parliament, South West St. Elizabeth, Honourable Donald Buchanan - another positive accomplishment for the constituency. We wish you all the best for your future pursuits.
