IT'S NOT every day that we get to see a female Prime Minister take her throne. And so, when the opportunity came, many of those on the guest list went the extra mile to look their best.

But how do we look presentable for an event that states lounge suit and at the same time not melt under the sweltering heat?

And don't forget, you are in the presence of a Prime Minister who always looks flawless.

Well, the first thing to note is: You are not at the funeral of a ghetto don, so lose the beads and sequins; in fact lose all evening gowns.

Next, no velvet or heavy funereal black and certainly no plain slacks and casual tops.

And never, never hats for evening events that run into night. And as for the men, we don't have enough space to point out the slip-ups yet again.

These well-dressed guests caught our camera's attention.
