Browns in the garden
published: Monday | April 10, 2006

Gordon and Josette Brown on their wedding day - CONTRIBUTED

WHEN GORDON BROWN registered for the marketing programme at the Institute of Management Sciences (now University College of the Caribbean) in 1999, little did he know that his life would change so dramatically. He was smitten by the beauty and elegance of Josette McFarlane, the charming young lady who handled his administrative procedures in the front office of the school.

This started the phone calls and over time, a new chapter in the annals of love was written.

Mrs. Brown, now a teacher of foreign languages at Jamaica College, and Mr. Brown, the postal service's Public Relations and Marketing Manager, pledged their endless love for each other on February 25. It was an intimate, twilight garden wedding at The View in Smokey Vale, St. Andrew. Bishop John Hardy officiated.
