William Clarke honoured

JAMAICA BANKERS Asso-ciation (JBA) president, William 'Bill' Clarke was recently awarded a lifetime honorary fellowship to the Caribbean Association of Banking and Finance Institutes (CABFI).

Mr. Clarke's award recognises his professional accomplish-ments, his sterling achievements and dedication to banking and service to the financial sector.

Awardees of this fellowship are recognised for their substantial contribution to the association or for the advancement of the knowledge of the theory and practice of banking and finance along with those who have given distinguished and meritorious service to the banking and finance industry.

Wayne Wray, JBA treasurer, said Mr. Clarke, "has a long and distinguished career as a banker in Jamaica and we are pleased that this has been recognised by CABFI and are proud of this achievement".

Mr. Clarke is president and CEO of the Bank of Nova Scotia Jamaica Limited, chairman of Micro Enterprise Finance Limited, as well as the Mona campus council, University of the West Indies and chairman of the Private Sector Organisation of Jamaica Pensions sub-committee.
