KING OF BUNS - A.M.L. BAKERY TAKES THE CROWN
published: Thursday | April 13, 2006

Bun entries were received from Honey Bun, Golden Crust, Purity, Golden Bakery, Gold Crown and A.M.L. Bakery.

THEY TOOK up the challenge and the judges deliberated. When the raisins had settled, A.M.L. Bakery of 35 Main Street, Port Maria, St. Mary, emerged winner. They were followed closely by Sunlight Bakery in Montego Bay which came second. They will receive attractive prizes from Sandals Resorts International and Jamaica Flour Mills.

A.M.L. BAKERY COMMENTS

It would be unfair to name any one person responsible for the production of A.M.L Bakery's Easter bun. Each member of staff contributes in his or her own special way, which is why we are especially proud of the Easter bun we make each year. Our bun is the culmination of a process that requires lots of attention.

Patience and love (all staff members deliver a verdict and give their stamp of approval or disapproval on the first batch of buns), are shown at the bakery before even one is put on the supermarket shelves. Therefore, it is safe to say that each bun was made by all of us.
