The judges comments on the winning bun
published: Thursday | April 13, 2006

Robert Bonner, pastry chef, Hilton Kingston Hotel:

Taste very good, moist not dry, but could be more moist, want more and would have a second, and the texture is very good.

Candice Westley, security officer and bun lover:

I rate this bun highly for moisture, texture and I definitely want more.

Leonardo Blair, staff reporter and food fanatic:

It almost tastes like Christmas cake. It can be had by itself easily. The texture is smooth, the spice content is just right and it makes you want more.

Lisa Hanna, bun lover and celebrity judge:

A.M.L. is a good bun. It is very moist, the outer layer was a little dry but the texture is dense, spice content good.

Leonie Clarke, UTech senior lecturer:

The bun is very moist, the texture good, spices are fine and I could perhaps eat more. The colour is fairly good.
